Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acid

Omega-3 reduces the risk of heart disease and arthritis and is essential for brain development. Fish is a great source of Omega-3, but few people eat enough. Nutritionists recommend that you eat fish at least twice a week as part of a healthy balanced diet. Omega-3 is also thought to prevent cancer and cardiovascular disease and strengthen the immune system.

Low in Calories

Prawns have only 99 kcal per 100g while other proteins such as beef mince contain 209kcal and 13.5g of fat. Prawns are also lower in calories and fat than chicken.

Prawns are incredibly quick and easy to cook and are therefore ideal accompaniments to meals such as curries, stir fries, salads, pizzas and sandwiches. They also make a great snack - ideal for dipping they are a much healthier alternative to crisps.
